R&D Project presentation: CFAO software optimisation

Hello everyone!

My name is Sébastien Dupuis and I’m a student in 1st master’s degree in electromechanical industrial engineering at the Haute École Louvain en Hainaut (HELHA) in Mons.

In this video, I present you my research and development project which consists in optimising the laser engraving of the mini factory using CAD/CAM software (Computer Aided Manufacturing Design).

The aim is to adapt a variable pattern as faithfully as possible to the conical shape of the ballpoint pen and then engrave it.

First of all, an extract of how engraving works on a ballpoint pen is proposed.

Then, the main equipment and software used to carry out the project are explained.

Finally, the method used, namely trajectory tracking, is discussed.

I invite you to watch my video if you want more details!

I hope you will enjoy this one!

See you soon!

Sébastien
